Fringed Monkey Frog (Cruziohyla craspedopus)
This species occurs in the Amazonian lowlands in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru; and recentlyfound in central Brazil. This is a high canopy species of primary tropical lowland rainforest, descending to low branches to breed. At Yasuní National Park, this species has been collected in Terra Firme Forest on branches and shrubs. Breeding takes place in fallen trees containing small water pools; tadpoles have also been collected in small pools on the ground. The species may be found over small waterbodies…
